U.S. Dream Academy Announces “2013 Power of A Dream Gala” Hosted by Wayne Brady and Sheryl Lee Ralph on June 4, 2013 at the J.W. Marriott in Washington, D.C.

Elijah Cummings, Jr. (MD), and Wes Moore Among Honorees The U.S.  Dream   Academy  is excited to announce the 2013 “Power of a  Dream ”  Gala, themed “Inspired To  Dream ” presented by Amway to be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 (Reception 5:45pm Dinner 7:00pm) at the J.W. Marriott in Washington, D.C., located at 1 331 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20004 . This gala will benefit their nationally recognized after-school programs for children. The Obamas Recognize Decatur House and Four Little Girls

When you talk about "karma", items coming "full circle", or the saying "what goes around comes back around", you can appreciate the historic visit by Michelle Obama to the DC's Decatur House, just a short block from where the first African American First Lady of the United States resides.   First Lady Michelle made a stop to the historic home where former slaves built, worked, and lived to deliver an endowment to the preservation of the historic landmark.   First Lady Michelle Obama speaks with children during a Decatur House visit.
