Mask Mandates In DC? COVID-19 tests available late January, 2022.

"Keys, wallet, phone, and proof of vaccination." - DC Mayor

While Virginia cities, including those across the river from D.C., are not required to wear masks (especially in schools) via legislation the state's newly elected governor imposed, (even as his own child attends a mask-mandated school), it's no mask, no service in the District of Columbia.

Patrons are required to wear masks and show proof of vaccination before patronizing DC establishments like bars and restaurants.  No masks are required for takeout orders.

The mandate began last weekend and fines, up to $1000, may be imposed upon businesses for not complying after two warnings. The CDC is still recommending that everyone, over the age of two, wear a mask.
